A vacuum-operated Cleaner-Droid basks in the sun whilst drinking some kind of fruit juice
The sad looking remains of a Tele-Visual Droid and another unknown droid. They may have been fighting over the contents of the plastic bag, or were possibly attacked by a human and left for dead. The shattered remains made a (…)
Some interesting behaviour observations recently. This Cleaner-droid was found collecting sticks in the streets of London. It was either continuing to carry out its domestic cleaning functions in a strange new environment, or was attempting to build a nest.
TT chips in with this combo droid sighting in North London. He wasn’t sure if the droids had fully valmorphanized, but it looked as is common with street droids that they had formed a symbiotic partnership, the bread burning droid (…)
Our Parisian correspondent has just sent us this via the under channel wire. Typically the French’s gastronomic cravings mean 70% of all homeless droids in this nation are of the food processing and preparing variety. This poor unit must have (…)
This last ones not something I’ve come across before, a droid using an abandoned animal skin for warmth. It’s most likely it’s internal ‘CORE’ processors have malfunctioned, the lack of heat resulting in the search for some sort of insulation (…)
Spotted this little televisual droid recently – abandoned, it was forced to try alternative food sources but got stuck pursuing an ultimately pointless attempt to consume vegetation…don’t think it fully understands the concept of “green energy”…
This morning I almost stepped on this small unit at the end of my street. A hardware based Music-Droid – a species that finds it increasingly difficult remaining in service because of a technology called “the internets”. This particular sub-species (…)
Here we see a Tele-Droid and Recorder-Droid who seem to have partnered up and adopted some Speaker-Droids. Despite these Droids being different species, they often spend their domestic lives on top of each other and so form strong emotional bonds. (…)
Another night spotting mission turned up this little Entertainment-Droid. He was caught in the headlights of a car which had clearly scrambled his sensors – he was trying to communicate with a washing basket when we found him, possibly mistaking (…)
Droid-spotter Paul writes: Two kitchen droids in the early stages of homelessness having been shown the door from a comfortable house in suburbia…freezer droid looks forlornly through the window hoping for another chance…the oven droid turned away in shame…
Droid-spotter Paul writes: Spotted this micro-radiation cooking droid attempting to conceal itself in a disused cardboard box…its common to see similar hopeless attempts by droids to disguise themselves as new products and in need of a new home. This one (…)
Burton-on-Trent correspondent – Droid spotter David continues: …I managed to fire off a quick shot on my camera phone before I was chased off by a man in a yellow vest. I then stumbled upon a bunch of other Tele-droids (…)
Alarming news from our Burton-on-Trent correspondent – Droid spotter David: Had a good Droid spotting incident this morning. I say good…..it was horrific. There I was, dropping off an old office chair at the skip when I came across what (…)
Droid spotter Kev checks in with disturbing news of the uncovering of a droid cemetery. It seems this group of droids have either fallen in to this walled pit, or most likely humans have thrown them in there, brutal!
New correspondent David reports in with this sighting, David says: I spotted this poor Copier Droid trying to keep warm using some insulation solutions foam in a skip outside a YMCA in Burton. Obviously thrown out by it’s previous owner (…)
This raddled old analogue Tele-Droid (with integral stand) was encountered late last Friday evening loitering on a residential street in Clapham. It had a rather glum bearing so perhaps earlier had been asked to leave (or forcibly ejected from) a (…)
OG urban explorer Little Elvis has provided some beautiful photos from some of his missions. Whilst exploring derelict environments over the years, he has encountered many types of industrial droids that aren’t commonly found in the streets of our cities. Here we (…)
Another night-spotting mission, another drunken Tele-Droid. My ongoing droid research is leading me to conclude that Tele-Droids are by far the most commonly found species, and that they are all too often found with empty alcohol containers. Further research should (…)
Meanwhile a Refrige-Droid stands over the motionless Cooker-Droid, mouth wide open in an aggressive effort to ward off the onlooking humans and protect his fallen friend. These units can have more complex emotional calculations than many humans realize.
I left my house this morning to find this tall Freezer-Droid just across the road. Worryingly it was lurking right outside a school gate. Some misreporting has meant Freezer-Droids having a reputation for eating children. Although children may have died (…)
Here we have a assemblage* of tele-droids outside someones home, scaring away the owners cat. *I’m unsure of the correct collective noun for droids. The guys over at Bot Junkie held a competition to find this out, and “assemblage” apparently won.
A photo showing some Gambling-Droids shortly after being evicted from their jobs. This initial herding behaviour shows early confusion at the situation, but they would proabably soon disperse into the streets of Sydney. Photo originally from Mess and Noise via stuartbuchanan
Here our droid expert Pazmania102 bravely approaches a Printer Droid for examination. Although Printer-Droids are usually quite passive, remember to always use caution when approaching Droids, as they can panic when cornered or if protecting young.
This was a very rare find indeed. An ancient Calculator-droid found discarded in the basement at City University, London. Clearly their Centre for Mathematical Science now uses more modern methods for long multiplication, leaving this fellow to live out its days in (…)
